Herald Reporter Contributes Significantly To Science Journalism
In a special section of the October 20, 1991 Calgary Herald that saluted Science and Technology week, report Mark Lowey contributed nine by-lined stories and an additional nine side bar stories. The articles focused on varied and contemporary science and technology activities and personalities in Alberta.
Displaying versatility and an understanding of the strength and impact of science and in Alberta, Lowey reported on subjects as varied as Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) technology applications by AGT Ltd., teaching students about astronomy, research on the corrosive effects of natural gas, and the long-term importance of science and technology education for students.
